Reading as a Form of Self-Care: How It Helps Me Recharge

In such moments, reading has always been my sanctuary—a comforting escape that helps me unwind, recharge, and find clarity. It’s not just a hobby but a deeply personal form of self-care that nurtures my mental and emotional well-being.

One of the most soothing aspects of reading is its ability to transport me to other worlds. Whether it’s the magical landscapes of Middle-earth in The Lord of the Rings or the icy blue tundras of Ruby Dixon’s Ice Planet Barbarians, books create a portal to places where my worries feel far away.
